Rebreather UBS

At the moment UBS 40, togheter with AZIMUTH pro, is the only rebreather SCR certified in Europe with the new EN14143-2003

Only joining their efforts Nanni Neuhold and BDK sport have obtained the European Certification, passing more than 50 tests, which at today represents the highest guarantee for this kind of product.

With his minimum weight, his reduced dimensions, his anatomic shape following perfectly the back features and his sporting spirit, the UBS 40 is the rebreather suitable for all scuba divers who love to dive in complete security, quiet and without noise

The new version, the UBS pro add to compactness of the Ubs the back jacket of the Azimuth Pro.
We can say that the UBS pro is a "modular" Azimuth and this allow an easier trasport and the possibilities to use it with one or two cylinders depending on the kind of diving

The new denomination is due to the fact that the old Azimuth has undergone a few improvements and in March 2007 it has been certified with the new European certification EN14143

UBS and Azimuth pro have the same breathing loop, and the most important improvements in respect with old Azimuth are:
- New corrugated hoses: they are made in the same special rubber, but bigger (12 millimeters) and larger (80 millimeters).
- New no-return valves inside the connectors of corrugated hoses (mouthpiece connections)
- The counter lungs: 6 liters inhalation bag and 3 liters exhalation bag
- New shut-off valve with new Nitrox thread EN 144/3 26X2
- Pressure reducer with new Nitrox thread EN 144/3 26X2
- New emergency open circuit second stage with dive / pre-dive device
- You can use also an optional anti-collapse valve to inhale gas inside the inhalation counterlung and avoid breathing problem to the diver in case of too rapid descent. This valve is not strictly necessary, and several divers do not use it
